I finally had the special opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Aquatopia wedding venue in Carp, ON. It is a beautiful glass building that offers a ton of natural light, foliage and just the right amount of warmth all year round. Knowing our Canadian winter, and how much I prefer the tropics, this is a pretty big deal! There are lot’s of things I liked about this unique venue, not to mention its wonderful staff!
This unique space was converted into a ceremony hall for the bride, groom and all their guests. The sounds of the fountains and aroma of countless botanical blossoms quickly immersed us all into a tropical oasis. It also featured a living wall of greenery, which was highlighted with vibrant floral arrangements.
It is also worth mentioning that the surrounding space just outside Aquatopia’s doors offered lots of options for family photos and even photos of the newly weds. Whether it be photos in the woods, the plant nursery or even out on the open field, everything was only a few steps away.
Another key feature I really liked about Aquatopia is how versatile the space is. It was amazing to see how quickly the staff converted the ceremony floor into a classy and inviting dining hall. It was all set up with lovely decor, centerpieces and a sweetheart table in less than an hour! Once again, a big shout out to the staff that made the second half of the evening feel so seamless:
We were ready to start the evening with dinner, traditional dancers and speeches
And then the party was started with a first dance, followed by a wild dance floor!
